How do I descale my NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® coffee machine?

For you to be able to consistently enjoy delicious drinks, it’s necessary to descale your Mini Me 2 using a coffee machine descaler every three to four months. We advise you to always use the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® descaling solution.

Top tip: Descale your machine if the start button lights up steady orange or your drinks come out slower or cooler than usual.

Here's how to descale a NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® coffee machine:

• Combine the solution with the water and pour it into the empty tank. Put the rinsing tool into the capsule holder and place the container under the coffee outlet.
• Enter descaling mode by setting the slider to the max. Press the temperature and start buttons at the same time until the start button blinks orange. Hit the start button.
• Once the water tank is empty, the machine will pause for about two minutes.
• Refill the water tank with fresh water and press the start button to kick off the rinse cycle. Clean, refill, and re-insert the water tank.
• Turn off and unplug your Mini Me 2. Give it a wipe using a soft cloth. All done!
